Title IX: Key Issues Surrounding Institutional Compliance

Your concerns addressed and practical guidance offered

Overview

Diversity
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, is a comprehensive federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity. This session is intended to provide guidance to chief business officers and their staff who have responsibility for managing the intake and resolution of complaints of sex based harassment and discrimination as required by Title IX.

From the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights “Dear Colleague” letter to the recently enacted Campus SaVE Act, the session will cover new requirements to help campuses remain compliant. Speakers will discuss key questions and concerns; provide advice and practical guidance that will aid in mitigating institutional risk associated with non-compliance prior to an audit.
