Overview

Business Model
Program costing is a successful method for an institution to analyze the financial performance of academic, research, and outreach activities. When institutions combine program costing with other resource modeling techniques, such as computer-based modeling and workload projections, the results are tremendous.

Learn how the University of Minnesota School of Nursing combined program costing with a computer modeling platform to assist with workload management. Based on the results, the school has incurred a 40 percent increase in recurring net revenue in the last eight years. The system implemented numerous operational changes including, course curriculum, class schedules, and capacity distribution.

During this webcast, speakers will share the templates they used for program costing, provide examples of the computer workload modeling, and discuss lessons learned from the school’s data-focused approach to assessing programmatic change.
