ED Issues Update on Title-IV Eligibility for CARES Act Funds, And Other Coronavirus-Related Guidance

The Department of Education has announced that it will not enforce its requirement that students must be Title IV-eligible to receive CARES Act grants, although ED stated that it still expects recipients to be eligible for Title IV. ED also published guidance expanding regulatory flexibilities, and its Office for Civil Rights issued a Q&A reminding schools of their responsibility to comply with Title IX rules and disability laws.
