The Student Financial Services (SFS) Benchmarking Report examines student financial services operations, including: unpaid student account balances; student accounts in collections; payment channels and methods; student refunds; third-party billing; and staffing and financial services operating budget.

The 2023 SFS Benchmarking survey is in progress and will remain open until May 5, 2023. NACUBO members who would like to participate but did not receive a survey invitation should email research.nacubo@nacubo.org. A PDF of this year's survey instrument is available here.

The 2022 SFS Benchmarking Report, supported by TouchNet, was released to the public in September 2022. The report provides detailed information on SFS operations during fiscal year 2022.

How to Access the Report

If your institution participated in the 2022 SFS benchmarking survey, you can access your complimentary copy by sending an email to Research.Nacubo@nacubo.org.

 

If your institution did not participate and you wish to get a copy, click here. The purchase price is $50 for NACUBO member institutions that did not participate in the study, and $200 for nonmembers.
