How Do I Access the Tool?
The new NACUBO Tuition Discounting Study (TDS) Online Benchmarking Tool now in service! To access the tool, your institution must be a current NACUBO member school that participated in the 2022 NACUBO Tuition Discounting Study. Send an email to Research.Nacubo@nacubo.org if you want to get instructions for accessing this new service.
What Does the Tool Provide?
The new NACUBO Tuition Discounting Study Online Benchmarking Tool, developed in partnership with Hanover Research, allows participating schools the opportunity to compare their TDS results with self-selected peer institutions. The following TDS data elements are included in the tool:
- Institutional discount rates
- Student aid rates
- Net tuition revenue
- Percentage of undergraduates receiving institutional grants
- Average institutional grant award for undergraduates

Which TDS Survey Years Are Included in the Tool?
Currently, the TDS Online Benchmarking Tool includes data for academic years 2019-20 through 2022-23 academic years (NOTE: data for 2022-23 are preliminary and will be updated soon after the 2023 NACUBO Tuition Discounting Study data become available). We anticipate data for additional years will be added in the future.
What is the Future of the Tool?
NACUBO anticipates that the new tool may include data from other financial-related surveys. Plans for future expansion are currently ongoing.
