The Solutions Exchange

By TouchNet

Each semester during registration, Long Island University (LIU) staff would physically write down and calculate figures on paper to compile payment plans based on estimates. Many of these plans had to be changed or modified, as bills rarely matched what students originally selected. Sound familiar?

This case study explores how LIU implemented a new electronic solution—TouchNet Payment Plans—which helped manage payments, track data points, and communicate with students and their families effectively.

With this new tool, LIU ultimately improved retention and provided staff and administrators the flexibility they needed during COVID-19.
