The Solutions Exchange
By Jan Day, Mark Hampton, and Danielle Yardy, Amazon Web Services; and Lindsay Wayt, NACUBO
The use of data and analytics can improve decision-making at colleges and universities, yet we have not seen broad advancement in the use of data and analytics in higher education. To help understand why the use of data in decision-making hasn’t become widespread, with a particular focus on the impact of data and organizational silos, Amazon Web Services and NACUBO conducted a focus group of institutional finance leaders and a survey of higher education professionals.
Findings from this study are shared in this paper along with tactical recommendations for higher education leaders who are working to advance the use of data and analytics.
