NACUBO Selects 14 Higher Education Business Officers for Exclusive 2019-20 Fellows Program

(Washington, DC) – The National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) is pleased to welcome 14 outstanding higher education business leaders to the 2019-20 NACUBO Fellows Program.

The NACUBO Fellows Program offers a year of intensive development for higher education professionals who aspire to be chief business officers in their next roles. NACUBO Fellows work together and with higher education presidents, provosts, and chief business officers to enhance their leadership, financial communications, and change management skills.

NACUBO is pleased to welcome the following higher education professionals to the 2019-20 Fellows cohort:

  • Linda Campos, University of Idaho, assistant vice president for finance and controller
  • Lenora Chapman, Sam Houston State University, associate vice president for finance and operations
  • John Coppola, Loyola University Maryland, associate vice president for finance
  • Erica Daley, University of Oregon, associate dean of finance and operations, School of Law
  • Tom Dwyer, Amherst College, director of financial planning and assistant treasurer
  • Kevin Edelblute, Mississippi State University, assistant vice president for finance, controller, and treasurer
  • James Gorman, University of Virginia, senior director of finance strategic projects
  • Rich Kelley, University of New England, associate vice president for finance
  • Matthew Motyka, Smith College, controller and associate treasurer
  • William Nelson, University of the District of Columbia, associate dean for administration and finance, David A. Clarke School of Law
  • Adrian Petway, Virginia State University, budget director
  • Alice Turbiville, Swarthmore College, assistant vice president for finance and controller
  • Valarie Van Vlack, Texas State University, treasurer
  • Rick Wernoski, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, senior vice provost for business operations

“The NACUBO Fellows Program offers critical training and support for the next generation of college and university chief business officers,” said NACUBO President and CEO Susan Whealler Johnston. “We are thrilled to welcome these 14 impressive Fellows and help to set them and their institutions up for long-term success."
