Joanne Yestramski
Joanne Yestramski has served as chief business officers for both private and public institutions and played an active role in state operational changes to better serve the students and state. Her expertise is in financial management, operational effectiveness, coaching and mentoring, facilities management and information technology services. She most recently served as senior vice chancellor for finance, operations, and strategic planning at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
She has spent over four decades working in corporate and higher education senior financial management positions. Prior to her appointment at UMass Lowell, Yestramski was the chief financial officer and treasurer of the University of Maine System. She also served as vice president of finance and treasurer at Bentley College and in similar capacities at the Providence Journal, Museum of Science in Boston, BioTechnica International, and KPMG Peat Marwick.
She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO) and she received the NACUBO Distinguished Business Officer Award in July 2016.
Yestramski has a BS degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, an MBA from Texas A&M University, and is a certified public accountant.
