Michelle Verdisco is the Assistant Tax Manager for the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, Florida. Responsibilities include researching unrelated business income tax, sales tax, fringe benefit, scholarship classification and other tax related matters. Ms. Verdisco is involved in the university’s contract review process, notifying university leadership of the tax implications of university activities. Other areas of responsibility include preparation and/or review of IRS Form 990-T and Form 990. Prior to assuming USF’s Assistant Tax Manager position in April 1999, Ms. Verdisco was employed as a senior accountant in both the tax and audit departments of TECO Energy, Inc and Coopers and Lybrand.
Ms. Verdisco is a CPA and CIA and holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Tax degree from the University of Florida.
