Profile Brenda is a manager with the LarsonAllen Nonprofit and Government Group specializing in higher education audits. Experience in serving clients Brenda has over 14 years of experience in auditing colleges and universities, including experience in audits of federal grant programs under OMB Circular A-133 and the Department of Education Audit Guide. Brenda has served as the audit manager for governmental, nonprofit and proprietary colleges including Minnesota State College and Universities, College of St. Catherine and Northwestern College. Technical expertise Brenda assisted in developing our firm’s internal training program for colleges and universities and has delivered technical training on the topics of new accounting standards, new auditing standards, and student financial aid auditing. Educational/professional involvement Brenda earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the College of St. Benedict, and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Minnesota. She is a member of the Minnesota Society of CPA’s as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Brenda is also a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), the Central Association of College and University Business Officers (CACUBO), and the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).
