Dawn Robinson earned Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Accountancy Degrees from Alabama State University. Prior to joining Ingram State Technical College as Director of Fiscal Affairs in the capacity of Chief Fiscal Officer, she has over fourteen years of accounting experience. She directs staff at three campuses, prepares annual budgets and revisions, and sets standards and best practices. Her resume’ includes analyzing complex accounting projects, reviewing GASB updates, Internal Auditing and internal control design, assessing risks, writing Policy & Procedure, General Ledger design and clean-up, GASB 34/35 Financial Statements, and bankruptcy. She is also a technical reviewer using critical and analytical thinking skills to solve fiscal issues which may cause non-compliance.
In addition to being a member of the Executive Cabinet and Fiscal Advisor to the President of the College, she also serves as a subject Matter Expert (SME) for the College.
Dawn currently serves on the NACUBO Accounting Principles Council representing Community Colleges nationwide and was recently appointed to the SACUBO Community College Constituent Committee. She also serves on the GASB Committee for NACUBO APC dealing with complex issues and standards which affect Higher Education.
