Robert C. Kuehler is Assistant Vice President/University Controller at the University of Colorado multi-campus system. Bob has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Texas Tech University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the states of Colorado and Texas.
Bob has been practicing accounting in the governmental sector for over 25 years. He has 21 years’ experience in public accounting, the last six of which were spent as a partner at a Big Four firm. His clients primarily represented the public sector, e.g., higher education institutions, hospitals, not-for-profits, and state and local governments.
During Bob’s tenure at the University of Colorado, the Controller’s Office has been at the forefront of leveraging technology to effectively and efficiently communicate with constituents. He and his staff have looked beyond their mandate to provide large amounts of information – financial, policy, metrics, and otherwise – to focus as well on providing easily understandable information. In 2014, the University was honored with a NACUBO Innovation Award for its groundbreaking online financial statements and accompanying user-friendly guide.
