Tyrene (Tye) Haralson serves as the Vice President, Finance and Administration for NACUBO. She oversees the finance, human resources, and administration of the organization.

Tye has over 20+ years of professional experience working in several positions related to financial management in the higher education and non-profit sector. She worked with an international non-profit conservation organization headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with a corporate office in Washington, DC. In her tenure with the organization, she managed the finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, and administrative functions. The travel experiences were a plus. In addition, prior to her non-profit experiences, she worked in the university setting for several years, supporting programs and faculty in a similar financial and business operations role.

Tye received her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA, and her MBA in Finance from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Additionally, she received several professional management certificates throughout her working career.

She enjoys keeping up with two very active kids and serving as an “uber” driver for their activities.  And during any spare time, she loves relaxing with a good book and spending time with family, preferably by the ocean.
