Guilbert L. Brown has worked in higher education financial planning and management roles for nearly 40 years and is currently the Interim Vice President for Finance & Administration at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. He has served as the chief budget officer at both public and private institutions including Rice University, Georgetown University, Oregon State University and George Mason University. He has consulted nationally and internationally on linking academic, enrollment and financial planning, and made numerous presentations to meetings of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), Association of Governing Boards of College and Universities (AGB), American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and others. Gil is a co-author and chapter contributor to several books on strategic enrollment management including the 2014 Jossey-Bass text Handbook of Strategic Enrollment Management. For five years Gil served as a faculty member for NACUBO’s professional development workshops on Strategic Planning and Budgeting. He has previously served as a Special Trustee for Finance for the Southeastern University Research Association (SURA) and currently sits on the board of the Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) and on the Sustainability Advisory Panel for NACUBO.
