Rick Anderson is the executive vice president for finance and administration at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). He brings his current experience in P3 partnerships, healthcare, and facilities investment and analysis to NACUBO Consulting. He also has experience in college athletics and most recently served as interim director of athletics at UTRGV in 2019.
Prior to joining UTRGV, Anderson was the vice president for administration and treasurer at Washburn University and University of Missouri–Kansas City. He also was the senior associate dean and CFO at the schools of medicine at both the University of Kansas Medical Center and at the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill. He started his higher education career in budget and planning at Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
He has served NACUBO as the chair of the comp/doc constituent council committee and as a board member for the Central Association of College and University Business Officers (CACUBO).
Anderson received his BS in accounting, his MBA from Oklahoma State University, and he is a CPA.
