Terri has over 25 years of professional experience in providing value-added services to her governmental and nonprofit clients including colleges and universities, foundations, religious foundations, social service, cultural organizations and hospitals.
She has extensive experience performing audits in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America and the standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States, OMB Circular A-133 and the OMB A-133 Compliance Supplement.
She has been published in various industry publications. In 2008 she was named one of Philadelphia’s “Women of Distinction” by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Terri was also recognized by the Foundation of the American Society of Women Accountants on their esteemed Balance Awards, as was the first place winner for the Northeast Region of the United States. Terri was recently recognized as a ‘SmartCPA’ in SmartCEO Magazine’s Readers’ Pick of the Region’s Top Accountants (September 2012).
Prior to joining BDO, Terri was the industry practice leader of Grant Thornton’s Not-for-Profit and Education Practice for Philadelphia and the Partner-in-Charge of the Northeast Region Not-for-Profit and Higher Education Industry Group and member of Grant Thornton’s Not-for-Profit and Higher Education Steering Committee. In addition, she served on the Experience Leadership Council established by the CEO of the firm.
She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. In addition, she is a licensed accountant with the New Jersey Department of Education.
