Giving Voice to the Voiceless - Empowering Teams with Dickinson's Brontè Jones

Dr. Brontè Jones joined Dickinson College because of the institution's demonstrated commitment to sustainability and global affairs. What she found there is a team dedicated to educational success.

In this episode of CBO Speaks, Dr. Jones shares her perspective on the power of communication in her role, the importance of being able to comfortably and clearly translate complex financial realities into the language of her constituencies. Coming from a deep family of educators has given Dr. Jones a unique perspective on what it means to be a strong institutional leader - in finance and beyond. We hope you'll listen in and learn from Dr. Brontè Jones.

On My Desk Right Now

A figurine of a woman praying and a photo of my 94-year old grandfather. These two items have been at my desk for more than 15 years and serve as a reminder of who I am and keep me grounded and balanced during my decision making, despite the challenges ahead.

What I do when I'm not at Work

I love to travel and I am an avid entertainer. I love hosting dinner parties, barbeques or just a pizza-movie night with my friends and colleagues. Making time for the ones that I love is one of my highest priorities.

My Media Mix

Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Orange is the New Black and House of Cards. I follow the news throughout the day, and rely on the internet heavily to keep me updated on what's happening around the world.

If I weren't a CBO, I'd be

A finance professor. I love working in the academy and have a real passion for finance, being a professor was my intended career choice.
