The 2019 Sustainable Campus Index, published by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), recognizes colleges and universities that are top performers in sustainability. Many NACUBO members made this year’s list.

Results are based on self-submitted reports to the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS). Institutions’ sustainability efforts are evaluated in academics, engagement, operations, and planning and administration, as well as numerous specific sub-topics.

For the full lists of top performers in each category, as well as highlights of “innovative and high-impact projects, programs, and initiatives,” download the 2019 Sustainable Campus Index.
