This webcast continues the two-part series, ROI: Making Your University More Efficient AND Effective.The key challenge many colleges and universities are facing remains how to increase efficiency in a time of decreasing resources, without sacrificing quality. The first webcast investigates Return on Investment (ROI) at the university level by offering three examples of success, and this webcast will drill down further into ROI by examining the concept at lower levels in the organization, such as administrative spend areas of IT, HR, and academic programming (schools and majors).
You’ll hear from three campus experts who have found ways to address this topic and lead their universities to success in ROI:
  • Temple University employed a 2x2 Human Capital Framework to monitor overall spending/FTE levels in all administrative areas compared to respective levels of effectiveness (customer satisfaction) and prioritize areas for improvement.
  • The University at Buffalo implemented an Administrative Intensity Measure (AIM) that calculates administrative overhead rates compared to benchmark universities as well as across schools on campus.
  • Loyola University Maryland has transformed IT operations by taking it to the cloud and saving 18% in labor spend over four years and completed an academic profitability analysis that is netting millions in savings each year.
Paul Friga will moderate this presentation of concrete examples for ways to improve ROI on campus and will close out the discussion by generalizing the findings into some ideas any campus leader can consider for their own institution.
