Pulse Check: Complying with Tax Reform on Campus

The TCJA and how it's shifting the higher ed landscape.

Overview

Tax Reform Grad Cap
Debate ensues among tax practitioners on compliance approaches to several provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). Join tax professionals from both a public and a private university as they address how their institutions have approached compliance with tax reform. Topics will include the new tax on parking and transit benefits, the “basketing requirement” to report unrelated business income by activity, and the new taxes on executive compensation and net investment income. Speakers will also comment on how further legislative or regulatory action may—or may not—shift the landscape.
