Western Association of College and University Business Officers

Print Version

Since 1937, the Western Association of College and University Business Officers has offered business officers in the western region opportunities to develop professionally, to identify solutions for issues affecting higher education, and to share their expertise with their colleagues. Our membership includes institutions in 14 western United States, three Canadian Provinces, Mexico, and other Pacific Rim nations. WACUBO's mission is to promote and maintain professional standards and conduct for institutional, administrative, and financial effectiveness. WACUBO sponsors two institutes each year. The Business Management Institute (BMI) provides a four-year curriculum, consisting of annual one-week programs designed for managers, supervisors, staff and other personnel who perform mid-level administrative and business functions for their institutions. The Executive Leadership and Management Institute (ELMI) is a total immersion experience of eight days for higher education professionals, designed to increase the skills essential to success in leadership and management positions.
