Nomination Requirements  | Nomination Form

Purpose: To recognize excellence and leadership of an individual who demonstrates a continuous commitment to the advancement of college and university accounting and reporting.

Background: This award honors Daniel D. Robinson, a retired partner with the accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick who was responsible for company services to higher education.

Nomination Process:  The Awards Council seeks annual nominations for this award from the higher education community. The recipient is selected in the spring with the presentation of the award to occur during the NACUBO Annual Meeting. 

Selection Criteria:  Criteria for selection include, but are not limited to:

  • Contributes to the advancement of college and university accounting, reporting and fiscal management through service to the profession
  • Collaboration with and service to standards setting organizations, such as the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
  • Designs, develops or implements innovative approaches to accounting issues
  • Creation, dissemination or interpretation of material relevant to accounting standards/practices, to include publications or presentations

Nature of Award: An inscribed plaque, suitable for display.

Promotion of Award:   An annual publicity campaign to provide maximum visibility to the program, including coverage in Business Officer magazine.
