The Essentials program provides an overview of accounting practices common to higher education institutions. Topics addressed include current operations, plant funds, endowment funds and loan funds. Fundamental accounting concepts, terminology, defintions and financial reporting requirements relevant to colleges and universities are identified. The course is self-paced and includes exercises and assessment questions in order to test for understanding throughout the program.
