The 3rd Annual Smart & Sustainable Campuses Conference brings together current and future leaders in the areas of campus planning and development, environmental health and safety, sustainability, finance and business, facilities management, and procurement.

Colleges and universities have a significant impact on the built and natural environment and are under increasing pressure from governments, students, and community members to carefully mitigate their environmental footprint. Sessions and workshops are offered in the areas of smartgrowth transportation, sustainability and green campus initiatives, energy, and procurement.

The conference is produced from a partnership of the following organizations:

• Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)
• National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO)
• The University of Maryland College Park
• United States Environmental Protection Agency
• Campus Consortium for Environmental Excellence (C2E2)
• APPA: The Association for Higher Education Facilities Officers
• Campus Safety Health and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA)
• Society for College and University Planning (SCUP)

Last year’s event brought together 344 attendees. Discover the professional roles and organizations of those attendees. We anticipate up to 375 attendees in 2008.
