Ready to Respond: Case Studies in Campus Safety and Security
The National Campus Safety and Security Project (NCSSP), led by NACUBO, sought to help colleges and universities develop comprehensive emergency management plans that address the four phases of emergency management: prevention/mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. Six institutions were selected for study based on best practices and a diversity of approaches to an array of safety and security issues. Presented in this book for the first time, these case studies offer valuable insights on safety and security practices that can be adapted for other institutions that are grappling with many of the same issues.

The Association of Governing Boards (AGB) and United Educators (UE), in the summer of 2009, released a report on "The State of Enterprise Risk Management at Colleges and Universities Today". This report reveals the results of a survey and provides resources to help boards and institutional leaders begin the process of systematic risk assessment.
