Meet the Presenters:

Mimi Lord is associate director of the TIAA-CREF Institute.   She has 20 years of experience in financial services positions, including investment analyst, portfolio manager, financial planner, and investment columnist. Lord serves as editor of a TIAA-CREF Institute publication on financial topics and has provided analysis and presentations of the NACUBO Endowment Study in recent years.  She earned an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Jane L. Mendillo is the chief investment officer of Wellesley College. Since coming to the college in 2002, she has been responsible for building an expanded investment office and overseeing the management of the college's billion-dollar plus endowment. Mendillo came to Wellesley from the Harvard Management Company, Inc., where as vice president for external management she was responsible for portfolio management of approximately $7 billion in assets. Earlier in her 14-year tenure at Harvard, she served as vice president for private equity and vice president for trusts. She received her BA from Yale University and her MBA from Yale's School of Management. Mendillo serves on the Yale University Investment Committee and on the board of The Investment Fund for Foundations (TIFF).
 
Jay Namyet is the chief investment officer of the University of Oregon Foundation, having joined the organization in 2000.  He has over 20 years of investment experience, having started his career as a proprietary trader for Paine Webber Mitchell Hutchins in 1982.  Namyet is responsible for oversight of all facets of the investment process with regard to the endowment, trust, and cash pools.  He earned a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from New York University.
