Meet the Presenters:

  • James L. Isch
    Senior Vice President for Administration and CFO
    NCAA

Prior to joining the NCAA in 1998, Isch was vice chancellor for finance and administration at the University of Arkansas, where his areas of responsibility included academic and administrative computing, administrative services, budget, business office, controller, facilities planning, internal auditing, payroll and benefits, personnel, physical plant, purchasing, campus police, risk management, campus safety, and treasurer. Before his employment at Arkansas, Isch was vice president for administration at Montana State University (1986 to 1994), where he had similar duties. He was assistant vice president for facilities planning and budgets at Kansas State University from 1985 to 1986, where he had also served as budget director from 1982 to 1985 and assistant budget officer from 1977 to 1982. He received his bachelor and doctorate degrees from Kansas State University and his masters in business administration from Boston University.

  • Keith Martin
    Managing Director of Finance and Operations.

In 1989, Mr. Martin became director of accounting for the NCAA. He was promoted to director of finance and operations in 1997, and became managing director of finance and operations in 2002. With over 25 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics, financial and operational management Mr. Martin is currently responsible for strategic planning for finance and operations, financial reporting, budgeting, revenue distribution, travel management, facilities management, purchasing and procurement, print production and fulfillment, and insurance and risk management. He currently serves as a staff liaison to postseason football licensing committee, Division I budget committee, and NCAA Executive Committee finance committee. Prior to joining the NCAA, Mr. Martin was a certified public accountant for the accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche LLP. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and masters of business administration in 1986. He became a certified public accountant in 1987. He was also a member of the University of Kentucky football team from 1980-1984, where he was a three time academic all conference.
