- Pending IPEDS Finance Survey Change Announced
In an effort to achieve greater comparability among independent and public institutions, the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) is proposing changes to the IPEDS finance survey. The revised survey would require public institutions to allocate operation and maintenance of facilities, depreciation, and interest expenses among all other functional expense categories--just as independent institutions do.
- Projections of Education Statistics 2016
This annual report provides projections for key education statistics, including enrollment, graduates, teachers, and expenditures in elementary and secondary schools.
- Department of Ed Launches College Navigator Website
The Department of Education unveiled its revamped college search website, newly titled College Navigator. The site, designed to help prospective students find information on institutions, is part of the department’s efforts to implement the recommendations of the Spellings Commission report.
