Comprehensive and Doctoral Institutions
NACUBO offers relevant and timely programming, publications, and other resources specific to business officers and staff at comprehensive and doctoral institutions. That is, the more than 300 four-year public and independent member institutions with enrollments above 4,000 (Carnegie class - Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral).
NACUBO 2013 Annual meeting
From July 13-16, 2013, the following annual meeting sessions, among others, are planned especially for business officers at comprehensive and doctoral institutions:
- Roundtable for Comprehensive and Doctoral Institution Chief Business Officers (P. Lasiter, Pepperdine University and L. Valenter, Washington State University Vancouver)
- Understanding the Governance and Financial Impact of Athletic Programs (R. Anderson, Washburn University, K. McNeely, NCAA, R. Legon, Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges)
- Defining Instructional Costs: Aligning Budget & Curriculum (J. Davenport-Williams, E. Nichols and S. Riaz, Columbia College Chicago)
Advance registration rates are in effect until June 21, 2013.
CFO perspective
Author Brian G. Gutierrez examines the opportunities and challenges a CFO at a large private institution might face in The Large Private Teaching University. In addition to strategy development, he offers four unique attributes a CFO must recognize and the constraints these attributes may place on revenues and expenditures.
