Summary
The Secretary proposes to amend the Student Assistance General Provisions, Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program, William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program, and Federal Pell Grant Program regulations. In these proposed regulations, the requirements for the loan default reduction and prevention measures would be moved to a new subpart and revised for clarity and consistency. The Secretary also proposes to make various substantive changes to these requirements.
