Summary
This document contains technical corrections and changes to the regulations for the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program in 34 CFR part 682 and the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program in 34 CFR part 685. The regulations govern the Federal Stafford Loan Program, the Federal Supplemental Loans for Students (Federal SLS) Program, the Federal PLUS Program, and the Federal Consolidation Loan Program, collectively referred to as the FFEL Program and the Federal Direct Stafford Loan Program, the Federal Direct PLUS Loan Program, and the Federal Direct Consolidation Loan Program, collectively referred to as the Direct Loan Program.

These regulations are effective July 1, 2001.
