2010 Smart and Sustainable Campuses Conference - Call for Presentations
Do you have a story to tell, a success to share, research to convey? The SSCC program committee invites you to submit a proposal to present a concurrent session or longer workshop at the conference. Submissions may come from campus administrators, students, or members of the corporate community. At least one presenter needs to be an institutional representative. We will select approximately 40 concurrent sessions and 2-3 workshops from the received proposals. Preference will be give to presentations that focus on removing obstacles to reach sustainability on campus, including finding creative ways to finance small or large-scale projects, and strategies being employed to fulfill the obligations of the Presidents Climate Commitment.
Broad categories for submission include:
- Operational Solutions
- Financing Sustainability
- Institutionalizing Sustainability
- Planning and Smart Growth
Proposals will be peer reviewed by the SSCC program committee. Rejected proposals may be invited to present a poster session at the conference. All notifications will be made no later than December 31st.
- Submissions may be either in the form of a single presenter or a panel of presenters (no more than 4 speakers per panel) on a single topic. Concurrent sessions are 50 minutes in length and pre-conference workshops are 3 hours.
- Conference organizers reserve the right to select only one speaker or modify submissions based on content and space limitations. (Proposals will not be combined without speaker permission.)
- Registration for the conference is required of all speakers. Upon acceptance of proposal, speakers will receive additional information and need to register for the event at a reduced rate of $399, to cover the direct costs associated with program activities. (If a panel is selected, only two panelists will receive the reduced speaker rate).
- Preconference guidelines.
