2017 Endowment and Debt Management Forum

NACUBO is pleased to announce that Mike Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg L.P., philanthropist, and three-term mayor of New York City is a confirmed speaker for the 2017 Endowment and Debt Management Forum, Feb 1-3, 2017 in New York City. Bloomberg will speak on Thursday, February 2 at 8am.

The Endowment and Debt Management Forum is an opportunity for finance, investment and debt professionals to engage with peers to discuss current investment trends, economic forecasts, asset allocation, performance, governance and a wide variety of important topics of interest to those charged with managing campus resources.

Program highlights will also include:

• Sharmin Mossavar-Rahmani, chief investment officer of the Private Wealth Management Group at Goldman Sachs and Michael Strauss, chief economist at Commonfund will take part in a moderated discussion that highlights their view of the economy and investment landscape
• Professor Erik Stafford, Harvard Business School will take part in a panel discussion that discusses his paper, Replicating Private Equity with Value Investing, Homemade Leverage and Hold to Maturity Accounting.
• Dr. John Alexander, CIO, Clemson University Foundation and Dr. Christian TIU, University of Buffalo will take part in one of two CIO panels joining other CIO’s and CFO’s from a variety of institutions.
• Ken Redd, NACUBO and Bill Jarvis, Commonfund will headline the panel which discusses the 2016 NACUBO Commonfund Endowment Study.
• Additional sessions will cover Hedge Funds and the Public Policy Landscape Concerning the Taxation of Endowments.
