SHOW FULL BIO » Richard E. Anderson, MBA, Ph.D. Dick is a senior advisor (semi-retired) at Mercer Consulting. He earned his Ph.D. and MBA with honors from Columbia University. He received a BSEE from Stanford University. From June 2001 until December 2011 Dick chaired the Hammond Associates/Mercer Higher Education practice. Additionally, he has experience on both sides of investment management. From 1995 to 2001, Dick was Executive Vice President of Kennedy Capital Management, a small-cap equity firm. Prior to Kennedy Capital, Dick was Vice Chancellor for Investments and Treasury at Washington University in St. Louis. Before joining Washington University in 1990, Dick was a department chairman and tenured full professor at Columbia University with a specialty in Higher Education Finance. At Columbia he coordinated a joint program between the Graduate School of Business and the College of Education and ran a federally funded Center for Higher Education Finance. Dick has written or edited eleven books including, Financial Planning Under Economic Uncertainty (with Meyerson), Finance and Effectiveness, and NACUBO's Guide to Issuing and Managing Debt (with King, Cyganowski, and Hennigan). In addition, he has written over 50 articles, book chapters and other short pieces.

She works with non-profit organizations and philanthropists to build sustainable investment strategies aligning their mission and vision with economic and market opportunities. Nancy joined Wells Fargo in 1999 as the Regional Investment Manager in the Pasadena Private Bank region overseeing the Investment Managers as well as designing and executing investment strategies for families, foundations, partnerships and public charities. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Nancy managed individual as well as endowment and charitable portfolios at Scudder Kemper Investments. In addition, Nancy administered and sold Investment Management and Trust relationships for Northern Trust Bank of California. She began her 25 year career in financial services as a broker with Sutro & Company in Los Angeles and spent several years in New York City delivering global macro-economic and strategic asset allocation information to money managers in the US and overseas. Nancy graduated from The Colorado College with a BA in Political Science and received an MBA in Finance from The Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at The Claremont Graduate University. She has taken Ph.D. coursework at The Drucker School and is a graduate of Leadership California and Leadership Pasadena. Nancy holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst credential. Nancy is a board member of the Los Angeles Opera, The Colburn School, past board chair of Shakespeare Festival/LA and a Corporate Fellow at The Huntington Library, Art Gallery and Botanical Gardens. Prior to this, he was the Chief Investment Officer at Cornell University, where he managed the University’s investment assets, consisting of the endowment and other funds totaling in excess of $4 billion. Before joining Cornell in 1999, Don was at the University of Notre Dame, first as a member of the finance faculty and later as a Senior Investment Director. He started his career in the auditing and treasury divisions of Prudential Insurance, and has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Cornell, an MBA from Mercer University, and a Ph.D. in finance from Florida State University.

Prior to GMO’s founding, Mr. Grantham was co-founder of Batterymarch Financial Management in 1969 where he recommended commercial indexing in 1971, one of several claims to being first. He began his investment career as an economist with Royal Dutch Shell. Mr. Grantham is GMO’s chief investment strategist and is an active member of GMO’s asset allocation division. He is a member of the GMO Board and has also served on investment boards of several non-profit organizations. SHOW FULL BIO » Jim Hille, CFA, CAIA Chief Investment Officer Texas Christian University Fort Worth, TX Jim Hille was appointed the first Chief Investment Officer of Texas Christian University (TCU) in May 2006. Formerly he was the Chief Investment Officer of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, a $100 billion public pension plan. From 1992 to 1995 he managed portfolios for the Employees Retirement System of Texas. From 1990-92 he worked as an assistant to the international portfolio manager for the Bass Brothers Trust in Fort Worth while earning an MBA in Finance from TCU. With a BS in Engineering from the US Naval Academy class of 1983, he served for six years as a Marine Corps officer. Jim now serves on the Investment Advisory Board of the Texas State Treasury Safekeeping Trust Fund and the Employee Retirement System of Texas, and the Board of Trustees for Trinity Valley School. Formerly he served on the Board of Trustees of the City of Fort Worth Retirement System (Investment Committee Chair) from 2007-2011. Jim is also a fund advisor for Tudor Pickering & Holt Asset Management and a Trustee for the Wells Fargo ASGI fund offerings. He has served as president of the Austin Society of Financial Analysts, and as an adjunct finance professor for the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business. He is responsible for working with pensions, endowments and foundations to develop and implement cross asset solutions, strategic initiatives and private investment opportunities. Kristerfor serves on the Counterparty Risk Committee. Previously, Kristerfor spent two years in Cross Asset Solutions, where he developed cash and derivative solutions across equity and fixed income products to implement hedging, return enhancement, and diversification strategies. Before that, he was a member of the Structured Credit Group from 2004 to 2007. In this role, he helped to pioneer tail risk hedging strategies, working with investors to utilize credit strategies to hedge broader portfolio risks. Kristerfor joined Goldman Sachs as an associate in 2004. He became a vice president in 2008 and was named managing director in 2010. Prior to joining the firm, Kristerfor worked in the strategy practice at Accenture, where he provided consulting to pharmaceutical, telecommunications and financial services companies. SHOW FULL BIO » Heather Myers is managing director, non-profits for Russell Investments. Based in New York, Heather is responsible for Russell’s business growth in the non-profit market segment and for providing leadership on strategy development and advice to clients and prospects. Additionally, Heather serves as a senior consultant for several key non-profit clients, providing strategic advice on all aspects of clients’ investment programs, including governance, investment policy, asset allocation, manager selection and risk management. As one of Russell’s leading voices in the non-profit community, Heather regularly participates in industry conferences and is actively involved in Russell’s research aimed at the interests of this community. Currently Heather is focused on sustainability and mission-related investing in addition to analyzing the role of alternative investments in portfolios. Heather joined Russell in 1989 to support Russell’s international consulting clients and the company’s Japanese-related business. By the end of 1989, she was a member of Russell’s fixed income manager research team, and through 2000, Heather researched the global fixed income and currency markets. She moved to London in 1997 as the head of multi-currency fixed income research for Russell, and in this role she oversaw the team researching U.K., European and global fixed income strategies. Returning to the U.S. in 2000, Heather was named Russell’s senior practice analyst for fixed income and currency based in New York. The following year, she joined Russell’s U.S. Consulting team, becoming a senior consultant in 2003. From 2003 to 2009, Heather was a member of Russell’s external hedge fund of fund research practice for advisory clients, and in 2010, she assumed the role of director of endowment and foundation strategy. Heather is author and co-author of several research papers published by Russell including, “Liquidity Challenges for Endowments & Foundations,” “Responsible Investment: Five Tests of an SRI/ESG Policy,” and “Capturing Alpha Through Active Currency Overlay.” She was a recipient of the Russell Excellence Award in 1993. Heather is a member of the Board of Overseers at Whitman College and serves on Whitman College’s Investment Committee. She is a member of the Advisory Council for Lehigh Valley Summerbridge. SHOW FULL BIO » Dr. Morgan R. Olsen became the Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Arizona University in November 2008. He came to ASU from Purdue University, where he served as Executive Vice President and Treasurer. Before he joined Purdue, Dr. Olsen served as the business and financial vice president at three other higher education institutions, Southern Methodist University, Eastern Illinois University and Emporia State University (Kansas). His responsibilities at the University include treasury and financial functions, capital projects, real estate, facility operations, business services, human resources, and auxiliary services. He also serves on the ASU Foundation Board and holds an appointment as Professor of Practice in the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education. He has over two decades of experience in higher education, and holds several leadership positions. He is on the board of directors of the United Educators insurance company, and is past chair of the board of directors for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). He is also a past president of the Central Association of College and University Business Officers (CACUBO). Dr. Olsen earned a bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, and a master's degree in public administration from the University of North Dakota, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and holds a Ph.D. in higher education from the University of Kansas. He served as acting executive budget analyst for the North Dakota Office of Management and Budget before entering university administration in 1985.

SHOW FULL BIO » JOHN A. PALMUCCI retired on June 30, 2010 as the Vice President for Finance and Treasurer at Loyola University Maryland where he served in that capacity since 1994. He served as the College’s Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Treasurer, reporting to the President. John participated as a member of the executive management team of Loyola University, providing leadership and direction for a major operating division enabling fulfillment of the institution’s mission and goals through sound fiscal management, prudent stewardship of resources and student-centered delivery of services. Prior to his position at Loyola University he held the position of Vice President, Fiscal Affairs at Merrimack College from 1980 to 1994. For eight years prior to his tenure at Merrimack College, John served as Registrar and Dean of Administration at Northern Essex Community College. John also held a variety of positions at Northeastern University for six years including Director, Undergraduate Program; Assistant Dean, College of Business Administration; Assistant Director of Student Activities and he also served as an Instructor of Accounting, College of Business John maintains involvement with several professional organizations in a variety of leadership capacities such as the National Association of College and University Business Officers, Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers, the Association of Jesuit College and University Business Officers, Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, The Education Resource Institute, the Investment Management Institute, The Opal Financial Group, The Archdiocese of Baltimore Audit Committee and The Associated Sulpicians Finance Committee. He was awarded the EACUBO Distinguished Service Award in 2000 and the NACUBO Distinguished Business Officer Award in 2003. HighVista is an investment firm that manages endowment assets on behalf of endowments, foundations, and families. The firm provides investors with a portfolio solution involving broad diversification across asset classes, geographies, and strategies—achieved through a combination of investments in marketable asset classes, hedge funds, and private investments. The HighVista investment process is anchored in risk control and delivery of high risk-adjusted returns. Over his multi-decade career at Harvard Business School, André served as a Senior Associate Dean and Chair of the Finance Faculty among other senior roles. He taught courses in investment management and capital markets, and won numerous teaching awards. André is a Board Member of The Vanguard Group and Rand Merchant Bank, an Overseer of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and a member of the Advisory Council of the Financial Analysts Journal. SHOW FULL BIO » Jack Rich was appointed President and Chief Investment Officer of ACIMCO (Abilene Christian University Investment Management Company) in January 2009, overseeing Abilene Christian University's investment strategies. From 1991 to 2008, he served in a variety of positions at ACU, including Executive Vice President and Vice President for finance and administration. Prior to beginning work at ACU, he worked in real estate development, banking and public accounting. Rich received a Bachelor of Business Administration from ACU and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas San Antonio. He is a CPA and earned the right to use the CFA designation in 2006. SHOW FULL BIO » Sally Staley joined Case Western Reserve University’s investment office in 2002 and became Chief Investment Officer in 2006. She manages a staff of five professionals who oversee the investment management of the University’s endowment and pension assets with a focus on understanding risk and managing to outcomes. She is also the principal liaison with the Investment Committee in formulating the University’s investment and spending policies and works closely with Development staff to communicate investment results and policy to donors. Sally began her career in international bond market research and institutional sales with Salomon Brothers and Merrill Lynch followed by a transition to investment management at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board where she established the public pension fund’s international fixed income program and managed an international bond portfolio. Sally later worked as Senior Consultant with the investment management consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. She holds a Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of Wooster where she currently serves as a Trustee and Investment Committee member. She is also a board member for the Great Lakes Theater Festival and Saint Luke’s Foundation of Cleveland.
