2015 Student Financial Services Conference

March 22-24, 2015
Atlanta Marriott Marquis
Atlanta, GA

Overview

This comprehensive conference covers the many policy, technical, and management issues impacting student financial services operations on campus. Bursars, student financial services directors, loan collectors, financial aid administrators, and staff will find great value in plenary sessions addressing big picture issues and legislative and regulatory developments, and concurrent sessions covering a wide range of topics.  Speakers from a diverse pool of institutions will share their experiences, solutions, and best practices in a variety of areas such as collections, payment processing, new technologies, compliance, and customer service. An active exhibit area allows participants easy access to more than 30 service providers. As always, opportunities are offered throughout the program to network with colleagues, speakers, and exhibitors.

Enhance Your Learning
Two optional programs are also a part of this year’s Student Financial Services Conference. Back by popular demand, the Bursar Fundamentals pre-conference program will take place on the morning of March 22. This comprehensive event is great for those new to the bursar role, or for those seasoned professionals looking for a refresher.

Second, after the main conference concludes on March 24, attorney Chad Echols will host the Legal Aspects of Collections program. Attendees will explore what’s new in higher education collections, as well as university dos and don’ts for when a student declares bankruptcy. Additionally, Echols will provide attendees with sample contract language to assist institutions in their collection efforts.

Both the Bursar Fundamentals program and the Legal Aspects of Collections program require separate registration and an additional fee.
