Higher Education Accounting Forum Call for Presentations
Do you have expert knowledge and practical wisdom to share on higher education accounting issues? NACUBO invites you to submit a proposal to present at the 2013 Higher Education Accounting Forum, being held May 19-21, 2013 in Savannah, GA.
The Higher Education Accounting Forum brings together over 400 campus and industry higher education accounting experts and offers an opportunity for you to showcase solutions, initiate provocative discussions, and share effective strategies to the many challenges facing campus administrators.
We are seeking proposals for concurrent sessions that highlight an issue or topic of concern from which you feel the audience of accounting managers, controllers, internal auditors, budget directors, CFOs, and others would benefit. Submissions may come from campus administrators or members of the corporate community. We are also seeking proposals for pre-conference corporate showcase sessions.
We are seeing presentations on (but not limited to) the following topics:
- Internal reporting and analysis
- Fraud prevention
- Change management
- Financial accounting and reporting
- Campus tax issues relevant to controllers
- Student financial service issues/collaboration between financial aid and the business office
In selecting presentations for the Higher Education Accounting Forum, the program committee will be evaluating sessions best suited to the needs of accounting and financial management professionals at colleges and universities. Some key considerations as you prepare your proposal:
- Include as much detail as possible about the presentation.
- Include 2-3 learning objectives or audience takeaways
- Gear the presentation towards an audience at the intermediate to advanced level of understanding, rather than basic treatments or overviews
