OD: Tax Reform: Where Things Stand and What You Need To Do Now

Recorded on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 3:00 PM ET

With tax reform heading towards final passage, all eyes are on the bill that will be headed to the Senate floor.
Any action to change or eliminate provisions to the bill that were reported out of the Senate Finance Committee are expected to happen in the form of floor amendments in the Senate. Congress is working at breakneck speed and there will be little time to negotiate over provisions of concern.
The speakers for this webcast will brief you on what’s next, provisions in the bill impacting colleges and universities, and how to reach out to lawmakers to voice your institution’s concerns.
View a clip from the first session:
The ability to communicate to Senators and their staffs the real-world impacts of tax measures will be crucial in the coming days.  Issues that could impact your campus could include changes to—
  • Charitable giving
  • Endowments
  • Unrelated business income tax
  • Advance refunding bonds

Stay up to date on NACUBO's key concerns by checking NACUBO's Tax Reform webpage.
