Ask Your SEVIS Questions in Person

NACUBO, the American Council on Education (ACE), and several other associations are cosponsoring a series of upcoming regional meetings to facilitate dialogue between Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) officials and users of the new foreign student tracking system. During these half-day meetings, INS officials will make brief presentations and address questions from the audience about implementation of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).

Representatives from the Social Security Administration (SSA) will also be in attendance to discuss potential additional changes to the procedures for issuing social security numbers to foreign nationals. Last summer, SSA made a number of changes that took colleges and universities by surprise. Before further changes are made, representatives would like to explain the rationale for doing so and obtain feedback.

These meetings will be useful to campus administrators, international educators, registrars, business officers, and IT staff. Meetings are scheduled for the following dates and locations:
