Send Your Comments to "In Your Words"

The editors of Business Officer—and your college and university colleagues—want to hear from you. Participate in the "In Your Words" department to share thoughts and exchange quick tips with other readers. It won’t take you long to contribute an idea—"In Your Words" features only brief comments.

All readers from higher education institutions are invited to join in this exchange. Following are a few questions to get the conversation going. Please choose one for a response, and send comments along with your name, title, institution name, city, state, and telephone number to editor@nacubo.org.

1. Your Favorite Thing
   What is one of the things you like most about your institution? Is it a beautiful spot on campus? An outstanding department or program? A funny or time-honored tradition? Tell us your favorite thing in 10 to 50 words.
2. Quick Tips
   Do you have a tip to share for quickly and easily addressing a challenge on campus? This could be related to the way in which you handle facilities…or staffing…or accounting…or any aspect of your job as a higher education administrator. Tell us your suggestion in 50 words or fewer.
3. You Heard It
   Have you participated in a thought-provoking educational program lately? Did the speaker present a noteworthy professional development suggestion you'd like to share? Tell us what you heard...one brilliant quote (5 to 10 words) or some interesting session highlights (up to 200 words).
   
4. Letters
   Did any of the experiences, processes, or ideas presented in the current issue of Business Officer trigger thoughts that you’d like to share? Perhaps you handled a similar challenge differently. Tell us about it in a letter to the editor of 100 words or fewer.
