AICPA Requests Comments on Updated Not-for-Profit Audit and Accounting Guide

For the first time in more than 15 years, the AICPA has drafted an overhaul of the Not-for-Profit Entities Audit and Accounting Guide to address many new accounting issues that have emerged. The AICPA seeks feedback on the proposed changes.

CBO Warns of Potential Economic Downturn

If Congress fails to address a number of expiring tax provisions, sequestration, extension of emergency unemployment benefits, and reductions in Medicare physician payments, the economy would enter a downturn next year, according to the Congressional Budget Office.
