FASB Considers Delaying Revenue Recognition Standard

Independent colleges and universities are likely to get an additional year to prepare for implementation of the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s standard on revenue recognition from contracts with customers.

Nearly one-third of institutions require financial literacy programs for all first-year students, according to NACUBO’s newly released Student Financial Services Policies and Procedures report, available free to all NACUBO members.

Push for Resolution to 1098-T Fines Continues

NACUBO continues to advocate for the Internal Revenue Service to waive proposed fines for failure to provide correct taxpayer identification numbers on Forms 1098-T filed by colleges and universities for 2012.
