2008 Annual Meeting Service Project

The NACUBO Community Service Project was held on Saturday morning, July 12 from early morning until mid-afternoon. Developed in partnership with TIAA-CREF with additional assistance from Aramark Higher Education, Heery International and Starbucks, business officers gathered to make friends while addressing a worthwhile community need. Volunteers worked in teams on projects like painting, planting and general preparation for a new school year to begin.

Agency Description: The Donoghue Elementary School provides a rigorous academic program to students from the south side of Chicago, preparing them for success at colleges and universities across the country. The school's mission is to prepare all students for success in college, provide academic and social support for students and families, and serve as a center of professional development that strengthens the ability of educators to teach all students. It is one of the University of Chicago Charter School's four public school campuses that together provide students and families a pathway to college that begins with prekindergarten and continues through high school. >>Visit the school website
